We invited guest readers to share Seuss’s books
and wore our pajamas ’cause we like how it looks!
51st Avenue Academy students at their wackiest!
Last year, one of the students of The 51st Avenue Academy was diagnosed with Lukemia. This triggered our Student Council to want to help children just like their sick classmate.
The student council ran a fundraiser during the month of November. During this time, students donated money and were given a yellow ribbon to show their support for childhood cancer. At the conclusion of the fundraiser, students wore yellow to show their support for this cause. In just a two week period, we raised $900.
We offer this donation to The St. Jude Children’s Hospital to put towards the wonderful research that your facility conducts.
